The India Poker Ranking (IPR) is a first of its’ kind online system that ranks India’s top online tournament poker players as on the day it is published. Players are tracked and ranked daily based on their performance by finishing in cash positions in qualifying online poker tournaments occurring everyday on the leading online Poker websites, including but not limited to Adda, Baazi, Spartan, Ninja, FTR and MOP. Each player’s aggregate ranking is called the Leadership Board Points (LBP)

 

           At IPR, a cash position is any position where the player receives a portion of the total prize for his/her performance in an event (all references to buy-in are exclusive of entry fees). Generally, the top 10% to 20% of the participants in an event finish in a cash position. Players only receive one score per tournament. If a player cashes multiple times in the same tournament their score will be based on their highest finishing position. Qualifying events are online poker tournaments with a minimum buy-in of INR 600/- that are open to the public, and are not specialty or selected audience events such as charity, seniors, doubles etc.

 

          Players are assessed according to their finishing scores in qualifying tournaments. Each player’s individual IPR score is an aggregate of scores in events from November 1st 2017, measured from the day the IPR is calculated. The score for a given event is derived from a combination of their finishing place, buy-in amount (exclusive of entry fee), total prize pool and total number of unique players (a player that re-entered or re-bought 3 times is considered as 1 player only).
